Client Overview
Good Newsy is a mobile app designed to make staying informed more engaging through short, gamified daily trivia based on real news stories. The concept combines education, entertainment, and positive user interaction—encouraging people to learn about current events in a fun, light-hearted way
My Contributions
As a UI/UX Designer and Front-End Developer, I contributed to:

Wireframing & User Flows: Designed interactive prototypes in Figma to define the user journey, quiz navigation, and feedback animations.

UI Design: Developed the complete visual interface — including icon sets, quiz cards, leaderboards, and progress trackers — maintaining Apple HIG-inspired design principles.

Front-End Development: Assisted in building the responsive interface using HTML, CSS, and React components to bring the Figma designs to life.

User Testing & Iteration: Conducted A/B testing on layouts and color themes to improve engagement and retention rates.

Brand System: Created the logo, color palette, and app icon to align the digital identity with the app’s upbeat tone.

Design Handoff: Collaborated with developers to prepare design specs, assets, and responsive breakpoints for implementation.
As part of the design and development team, I collaborated on the creation of Good Newsy, a daily trivia app built for iOS. The app delivers bite-sized news questions and interactive quizzes drawn from trending stories across lifestyle, entertainment, and world events. My focus was on UI/UX design and front-end development, ensuring that the interface felt intuitive, visually consistent, and enjoyable to use. The design goal was to make news consumption less overwhelming by transforming it into a playful, accessible experience. The app’s visual system features a clean, minimalist layout with vibrant accent colors to highlight each trivia category. Typography and iconography were chosen to enhance readability and convey a friendly, optimistic tone—aligning with the brand’s mission to make “good news” part of users’ daily routines.

The final design provided Good Newsy with a fully functional prototype and a polished user interface that could scale for the App Store launch. Early user testing showed strong engagement with the quiz format and positive feedback on the approachable, clean aesthetic. The app successfully combined gamification and education—helping users feel informed, entertained, and uplifted.
